The 42.2 kilometer race will begin at Baggot St. and will stop in Merrior Square West, both close to the business district. The course will pass through significant locations like the Trinity College, Georgian Sts., St. Stephens Green, phoenix Park and Herbert Park. Thousands of spectators line the course to witness the race and support the runners. A day before the event, an international breakfast event will be held to welcome international athletes. The event will take place on the 26th of October, 2009.
Samhain Halloween Parade : Thefestivity of Samhain, also called Halloween, signals the end of the harvest season and indicates the coming of winter and Celtic New Year. Together with St. Patrick’s, the Samhain is deemed as one of the not so many authentically Irish cultural mores, attracting travelers from all over the world to celebrate. The parade normally happens on October 31.
