Globetrotters / The Townhouse – Trekker’s Hostel Highlights

Connected to the Townhouse B&B, Globetrotters Hostel has a lot to offer. With the public bus to the airport located right at its front door, a few minutes’ walk to the train station and just round the corner from the River Liffy and Temple Bar, this Ireland Hostel‘s location is hard to beat. While sharing a name with numerous other hostels scattered around the UK, Globetrotters Dublin is not part of the chain, but is an independent operation.

The managers, Sharon and Muriel, are both very friendly and believe in making your stay as comfortable as possible. Some of the perks of the place include free Wi-Fi, free FULL Irish breakfast, a fantastic garden for smokers or relaxing and en-suite rooms. Some of the downers are that the kitchen is only available after 3pm, no guest laundry and a higher price. There are 96 beds in 10 dorms and they are in the process of jazzing up the hallways with some fun artwork.

All in all a good hostel, but still a little pricier than most backpackers would like, with a 12 bed dorm running almost $40.
